Big_John Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 I used to travel a lot for work and so I stayed in a lot of hotels. I always kept the key card and tossed them in my toolbox when I had a few on the dresser. They worked great for temporary shims or spreading putty. As I got back into modeling, I found more uses. I'd use them to spread Bondo spot putty or cut them to narrow strips to scrape in a channel. I use them most as a palette for paints and glues. I sometimes buy acrylic paint in squeeze bottles and I just squeeze a little on the card and use my little disposable applicator brushes. Same for super glue... Squirt some out and use the brushes. A well used card. I've gotten a lot of use out of this one. The other side looks about the same. 3
FoMoCo66 Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 Good uses?. I also use them for scrap plastic since I don't have any evergreen or plastruct yet. I actually works with tamiya extra thin cement.
bobss396 Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 I have some of those. They are handy. Mostly I use glossy advertisements that come in the mail. I just started using Vallego acrylics, I put a small dot on the ad material, toss it when done. I also use it to tape parts to for painting.
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 That's what I do with all of my ex's dead credit cards. I have a several-lifetime supply. 2 2
