Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 This is printed from the Andrey Bezrodny file. It started as a commissioned stock build, but after I realized the proportion issues the buyer pulled out. I decided to continue the build as a mild custom with lowered suspension, 24" wheels, and painted Tamiya Metallic Black. I used styrene strips for the up-top seams and hinge, and shortened the window opening. I added the emblems and scripts to the body using 3D Builder. I also added the Cadillac emblem to the wheels which were printed from the Pixel3D file. Using 3D Builder I changed the seats and door panels to look more like the 1970 interior and painted Cadillac interior gold by MCW. The sun visors were printed from the 3DVM file. Bumpers and grill are sprayed with Revell Chrome. Scratch-built exhaust tip. I could have spent more time sanding but I just wanted to get it done. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think. 8
peteski Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Yes, the body and interior shapes look a bit cartoonish (if that is a good description), but you did a great job on the finish. Nicely done! 1
Yeah Nah Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Always fascinated by this new tech model production. Limitless subject matter! Cool project and end result. 1
ncbuckeye67 Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 That looks amazing! The paint is beautiful, and those wheels are perfect for that big ole Caddy. Although there doesn't appear to be a transmission/driveshaft hump (??). 1

ncbuckeye67 Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 I still love the build, and the subject matter. I'm leaning towards ordering one of his kits myself. I'm digging the 81 Malibu wagon & the coupe.
espo Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Beautiful looking paint color and finish. Like how you added all of the Cadillac emblems. The convertible top looks very realistic in the up position. 1
karbuildr Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Very nice build. I like the custom wheels and lowered stance. Interior is very well done, and I really like the Metallic Black finish. 1

There are no emblems on the body either. The interior looks correct. This is 2nd Bezrodny file I've printed. The first was the 73 Cutlass which is pretty well proportioned. I just printed his 83 Fleetwood and so far it looks good. Had to add emblems on that one too. Thanks again

I don't have a printer, so I'll have to buy one of the printed kits. I also thought about the Fleetwood, but the Revell kit is a good one (if I can find one without the tuck & roll dashboard).
Koellefornia Kid Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Awesome! Great wheels and very nice details! 1
XYHARRY Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Very nice Cadillac, really well done. Cheers, David. ?? 1
David G. Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 You're right, there does seem to be something a bit off regarding the proportions but it is a great looking build. Well done! David G. 1

Well done! David G. Thanks David. The leading edge of the tailfin starts too far back. It should start just behind the door. This either adds space bet2een the door and rear wheel or just makes the body look to long. The hood and grill are too flat. He got the angle of the front bumper right but flattend the grill and hood.
