Looks like arson to me.

The fire doesn't appear to have started where any of the usual electrical hot-spots occur, but it does look like accelerant was splashed on the driver's side and into an open driver's window...unless it was sitting next to something else that was on fire, but it really doesn't look like that.

I heard some time ago about one being painted red. Must be the damaged one pictured in first post.

The Beverly Hills motor club pictures will be a good reference for anyone going for the new Aoshima kit of a standard car soon to be released.

I saw a red one around the Winter Park area at an auto shop about 35 years ago every day going to school and thought almost the same thing as this one.

Painting Deloreans was a thing back then.  The BHCC listings show red, black and I think a white one as well.  Many were painted by their original dealers.
