Andrew McD Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 A box stock build of the Foose '56 Ford FD100. Looking back at my notes I was surprised that the body required so much prep work. Parting lines, flash, and mold lines everywhere. Painted with decanted Model Master Chrysler GL Yellow through a Paasche airbrush. Frame is painted Tamiya Metallic Grey XG-56. 6
Zippi Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 That Chrysler GL Yellow makes for some nice eye candy. This is a Great kit and your's came out Super nice.

ncbuckeye67 Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Wow, that yellow looks amazing on that truck! What great color choice.
happy grumpy Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 That yellow really shines. The black grille gives it character. Great work. 1
espo Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Beautiful looking build, clean paint and chassis detailing.
michelle Posted May 9, 2024 Posted May 9, 2024 Nice work I am working on one of these though converting it back to a factory stock version which I was surprised and mad that it did not come with factory stock parts like the other foose kits came with
Andrew McD Posted May 10, 2024 Author Posted May 10, 2024 Thanks everybody for the nice comments. I am pleased that many of you commented on the yellow color. As with all my paint jobs it was a bit of a journey, not always pleasant.? In the end I'm quite happy with the way the paint looks on this vehicle. Don't recall exactly who's build it was in this forum that had blacked out a lot of the chrome but I drew inspiration from the fine work that goes on display here. With the engine bay having so little detail I went the minimalist route with the engine detailing; and yeah, maybe I got a little lazy.

Rattlecan Dan Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Very smooth. Cool-looking custom touch. Great build.
