I started this build at the end of February. I just finished it today. I fully detailed the Straight 8 engine with gofer plug wires. Fully detailed the interior and under carriage. Basically i detailed everything. Paint is rattle can Tamiya gloss Maroon with brush painted Testors gloss black for the body trim. The fenders i left the molded light brown i just polished them up. I used some left over rattle can model master textured fabric tan for the top, boot and spare tire wraps. And i used dark brown kens kustom fuzzi fur for the carpeting. And i scratchbuilt the edges of the door sill plates out of strip styrene. I chose the optional Packard stone guard grill and made some valve stems from scratch to. Also i scratchbuilt some floor mats from sheet styrene. Otherwise tight from the box. It represents a real one well i think.

Nice job Matt on this excellent old Monogram 1/24 classic. You did what I think is the key to making these kits look more realistic/ less-toy-like: PAINT THE WIRE WHEELS!
All the detailing you added and the overall build quality is very nice. The only thing I would do different is to use matt or semi-gloss on the seats.

Very elegant looking just like the real car. Like how you represented all the different finishes.

Great looking 30 Packard.  All the added details looks nice.  You don't realize just how Big these cars were until you get close to one.
