I finished this one up yesterday.  This one has sure been a journey.  I started out with the AMT 36 Coupe kit and had major issues that were self induced and then moved on to the Revell kit.  This kit was painted twice and I still wasn't sure about this color but I went with it.  While painting the package tray black, paint leaked out onto the body and made a total mess but I was able to save it.  It is painted with Tamiya XF-71 and then shot with X-22 Clear.  The suspension has been lowered with kit wheels & tires as I thought they looked fine.  Interior was painted with RUST-OLEUM Satin Warm Caramel.  It has the kit engine that I wired as it looks the part so I went with it.  I decided to make the rumble seat functional and it turned out Great.  I think it turned out ok but I'm really glad this one is over with.  Tell me what ya think fellow, good or bad as it helps me out on the next build.

Great looking paint color and finish don't even see the bleed through from the package tray. Like seeing a Flathead detailed like this. I agree with Robert, having the rumble seat working gives you a display option.

Great job on a difficult kit, but it does lend itself to a good looking model. Having built one myself, I can only suggest gluing the top on as securely and accurately as possible with liquid styrene cement, and seal the seams with super glue. I have also found the grille surround and front of the hood can be tricky- on my 36 roadster I added material to the front edges of the hood sides and was very careful to engage both locating pegs on the body to the fenders to make sure the body sits down correctly. Good luck on your next 36 Ford build!

Very nice. I hope your surprised that it turned out so nice. I had no doubt it would look as nice as it does. The working rumble seat is frosting on the cake. Well done sir.

Thanks man.  Yeah, that rumble seat worked out better than I thought it would.  I like using the flatties.

Subtle, yet packs a visual punch. Beautifully executed. Love the exterior/interior color combination. Well done, sir!!

Thanks.  Yup, I like the two colors together.

Thanks Paul.  This is a difficult kit and I've seen others do a great job on it.
