cdntrucking Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Trying a N14 conversion using an old car modeller article by Ken Smith. It’s a good starting point. Eventually this will go into a T800 3
Gary Chastain Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Very cool, can you post a link or the article to build this engine? I had not seen this conversion before. 2
gotnitro? Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Nice work so far ! Seems its T800 season on the boards ! 1

The article isn't quite complete but its a good start. Fotki Dutch Model Truck Club is where I pulled this.
Gary Chastain Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Looks great, thanks for posting the article, got printed
cdntrucking Posted May 27, 2024 Author Posted May 27, 2024 After 2 weekends and some (head) scratching, I’ve come up with this “glider” which will mate to a rear cutoff. Lots to do yet. 1
Gary Chastain Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 Are you using kit frame rails and the front spring setup from what kit? I have been wanting to do a KW C500 with the heavier (taller) frame. Your setup would work.

I have been wanting to do a KW C500 with the heavier (taller) frame. Your setup would work. Its all scratch built and modified kit parts built from photos. I made the frame rails to match up to a Revell KW frame rear cutoff so approx 10mm (just under) x 3mm - .040 web x .030 rail. AMT frames tend to be a bit deeper and stronger.
Gary Chastain Posted May 27, 2024 Posted May 27, 2024 Excellent work, thanks for the tips, will print these off and enlarge for reference
gotnitro? Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 Wow nice progress! Doing a glider build look really interesting I see I forgot my shocks looking at your frame lol
