OK guys, getting ready here for round two.
I wasn’t trying to cause any kind of trouble.

i’ve started my parts gathering. Also my inspiration for this build. The second photo is a 32 Ford Tudor that was built by the Rolling Bones Hot Rod Shop. But I’m not going to try to replicate the 241 louvers in the roof insert. Mine will be build along these lines.

we will see how this goes, keep smiling.

if you have any questions, I use to be a fabricator there in that era of builds.

Thanks Chris for the offer, with this build I will not be building an exact replica. I’ll will take some liberties.

Work continues on my second version 32 Ford Tudor. The roof has been glued on finally. I have a little bit more work to do, but I  But I will tackle that later.

The frame, as I’ve stated earlier has been modified. I’ve pinched the front frame rails and clipped off the frame horns. The rear has been kicked up and then the backend of the frame straightened out as you can see from the second photo and rear most crossmember has been added.

Today I added on some back, bracing to the back half of the frame. I do find that part a little on the weak side as far as how the frame was molded from the kit. I still have more to go on the rear part of the frame like location of the rear end and crossmember to support the rear suspension. I’m considering going with the kit’s air bagged 9 inch rear end. I think it would lend itself to a good roadworthy car.

Thanks for keeping this thread going and thank you for looking and your comments are always welcome. Cheers.

Well, the deadline has come and gone. Congrats to the builds that made it to the finish so far. Some really nice '32 came out of this

Way to go Michael, starting you're second one! Looks good so far.

I've been working on the chassis floor. Doing some blending of the trans tunnel and filling in the open areas at the rear of the tunnel. Opened the tunnel up quite a bit. Remember, the floor was lowered into the frame about 4 inches, so things were rather tight in this area. The stock crossmember was lightened a little bit also. Helps letting some sun light get through to the floor.

I finished my FB Theme build for the local group and am back onto the Sedan. Also been busy with travel a holiday and supporting wifey who ended up in hospital for two weeks ten days after we got back from hols. All eats into leisure time. Work too but that is a part time thing these days

Just a small update of things I've been doing on the '32. Today it's getting a supercharger! The parts came from the '65 nova gasser. Had to make some room for the scoop to clear the cowl area and of course cut a hole in the hood. Looks like the Hight of the scoop sticking out of the hood needs some adjustment. Thats for next time.

Spent a couple of evenings cleaning up the body. Had to refill the join in the rear guards after I shot it with SMS primer. Not too successful and I am not too happy with the finish so will go back to Tamiya fine primer The body just needed lots of love but it is now ready for another coat of primer along with the chassis and other body components.

Here is my update on my 32 Ford Tudor sedan build.

After trying all kinds of different engine combinations, like someone else on this thread, I have decided to use the flathead V8 from this kit. I did try one last modification to this engine and it’s not working either so it looks like it’s predestined to be the tri carb Set up straight out the kit, oh well that’s how it goes.
Other updates include the floorboard has been filled in on the chassis-frame but I need to make a crossmember for the shock mounts and the airbag suspension. Also filled in the last little gaps in the body, and soon it will be time to clean up the body and smear a little bit of glazing potty.

i’m really enjoying the builds on this thread. Thanks for looking and keeping this thread going. Thanks also for the encouraging comments, Cheers.

Got the wheels/tires mounted for the final time on the 32 Tudor. Just a quick little mock up without the fenders. I hope to have them installed and the body/interior hopefully by the end of the weekend. I want to definitely get this thing finished up by the end of the year.

As per my last post I need to get some things sorted before I can move onto paint as is typical for a 32 the chassis is the same colour as the body so I want to paint it all in one go. The main thing is the headers and exhaust system

I am on about my fourth attempt at getting headers made up for the modular motor. I got hold of some 1.7mm solder for the primaries and spent a couple of tries to get all the bends to line up. I thought I had it made but I did not have enough return to mount up the collectors AND they fouled the chassis and the guards where they sit on the chassis so I had to make some clearance, and then I found the motor was not seating down onto mounts. I looked for some 1.6mm solder but lucked out so tried some 1.6mm brass wire but that was just way to stiff to get the tight radius bends I am after. I located some 1.6mm solder and had another go - just clears on the LH side so now time to move onto the RH

Attempt #2 - 1.7mm solder - looks good but fouls chassis and guards. The long tubes are from attempt #1 but the collector fouled the chassis x-member rails so went to downward facing dumps

image.thumb.jpeg.65a7bf21895c580ebf86660699aaeea9.jpeg

Attempt #3 - 1.6mm brass

image.thumb.jpeg.021b7222cdb69bacc3f9d638ba39011d.jpeg

Attempt #4 - 1.6mm solder - Yahoo!! Just clears all on the LH side at least - just need to make up new 4-1 collectors from heat shrink. I have made up the former to do this

 image.thumb.jpeg.2eaff34b140c1759685e629a05eb27d5.jpeg

And all the left over bits so far - still have the RH side to go yet

image.thumb.jpeg.e55682cc6e1f3882bb8050dd14c89b65.jpeg

It would be a real battle in the 1:1 world to do this engine swap I reckon

Thanks for looking
