thebavarian Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 I have this Revell kit twice, the first was built in the racing version, the second is currently being worked on as a stock version. Since each kit comes with 2 complete engines (including engine stand), I have a detailed engine for each model to set up next to the respective vehicle. I left the tires and rims from an old AMT kit and used them here because I liked the wide rear tires on the model. I installed etched parts from MBM on the vehicle. Aluminum parts on the engine from MrModel from Brazil. The construction presented me with some challenges due to poor fit at times. I always have to pull myself together to continue with the second model. The decals are also a disaster. Despite Micro Set and Mocro Sol, they were almost impossible to apply. Even using a hairdryer didn't help. They were as stiff as a board and they didn't allow masses of plasticizer to be put in all the beads. I've built 1/32 planes with lots of decals, but this hasn't happened to me yet. 5
Bills72sj Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 Love this build. I use those Goodyear Blue Streak tires under anything that can fit them. 1
