I just so happened to love this kit and being a big beetle fan, I had to build yet another bug. This kit is a joy to build, having owned one in the late 70's makes it special to me. Paint is Tamiya metallic green coated with TS-13. I still have one to build. The Revell kit is also a beautiful kit, it's only flaw is the wheels and tires which are not quite as good as the Tamiya kit but everything else is really good.

as always thanks for stopping by.

That is beautiful! I'm really diggin' the green, it's perfect for a Beetle. This makes me want to break out my Revell Beetle convertible, and get started on it.

Another super nice build by you Mario.  I also owned 2 Bugs and my wife before I met her had a '68 Convertible that she blew the engine twice...Hot rodding?

Nice beetle there Mario. I also built this kit and agree, it's a good one. Well done on yours.

Cheers,

I'm not a huge fan of green, but that looks really good!

Thanks DJ. Not a big fan either , a friend of mine sent me a picture of a green bug from Romania, so I sent him back these.?

Assuming they're all your work Mario, showcasing some fine models here; not least of which is the new Beetle!

Thanks Garry . All that you see in the photos are models I made in the last few years , including the backgrounds.

Very nice work Mario. You've done a particularly nice job on the brightwork and window trims.

Thank you Nigel.

Mario..I have this kit built and you are right ..it was a joy to build. And you have done is wonderful job on it as well as all the other models there.

Thanks Rich, I do appreciate your kind comments. Tamiya rarely disappoints , I am currently working on their Mercedes 300 SL  and it's a real treat to build.

Great looking paint color and finish. Like the cleanly done body trim.

Thanks David, the way the kit is designed makes it easier for a shaky hands old chap like me!

Mario, you have presented some really nice builds on this forum! Those first three pics could be actual photos of 1:1 vehicles. ??

Thank you Mathias for the kind words.

Thanks Mike, I owned one in the 70's and I had a lot of fun with it. Boy, do I miss those times.

Wow! For just a moment I thought it was a real car.

The diorama really helps with that illusion.

Super nice build!
