I picked up a lot of AMT Mercury parts, I could likely build 3 cars out of that alone. I have 2 AMT kits in the works, one is a resin body, the other is a Revell kit. 1
bobss396 Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Field gray... noted. I have only recently looked at some of their military colors. 1
Duddly01 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Very nice work, I especially love the interior detailing! 1

Not sure I deserve it though, but thank you, I'm glad you like it! It did turn out a lot better than I was expecting. I did it just to go along with these old stock builds:
David G. Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 That's an impressive collection of beautifully built cars! David G. 1

ksnow Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 What a great rebuild of an older model. Would never guess it started as a glue bomb. 1

Me too, hate to toss a built up in the trash. I'll check out your progress...I rescued a built up Futurista off Ebay. Like your 49, the window glass was the worst....a lost cause, it was glue bombed - at least the rear bubble top was, the front glass was in good shape. Wet sanding and polishing didn't help much. Needs an engine, think I found a reasonable substitute. I've been buying model car "relics" off eBay for a few years now...and that kit is one of the rarest gems out there...almost impossible to find...and when found...Big Bucks ! 1
