ZTony8 Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 Revell Germany has 2 different kit numbers of the BMW i8. One says skill level 3, the other says skill level 4. One has the parts count listed on the box,the other does not have it.There is a $5 price difference in the 2 kits. Anyone know what the content difference is between the 2 kits?
Bill Eh? Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 They are the exact same kit. I'm not sure why they gave it a new kit number. As for the skill level, perhaps it was revised upwards after they got feedback from the first release. Go with the cheaper kit.
Matt Bacon Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 I’m not sure if this is the answer, but Revell did the i8 both as a stand-alone kit and as a “starter set” with some of their Aqua paints, a brush and some Contacta glue… best, M. 1

Neither of these kits is a "starter set''. Just a different kit number and a different color for the car on the box art.
