DRIPTROIT 71 Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 This began with a Model Truck and Fire Apparatus cab. It was very heavy and needed a lot of grinding. It is still so heavy that I had to reinforce the front axle with a metal rod to keep it from cambering the front wheels. Thanks to Charles Rowley for the decals. Overall it turned out okay. 8
Repstock Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Love it! I like the Byrd Livery. I'm going to go with Jones Transfer. Your work is inspirational. I like this truck!

Thanks for the kind words, but you calling my work inspirational is like da Vinci calling Hannah Barbara’s work inspirational. You are truly the master builder! You mentioned the interior on this one on the WIP thread. It was very crude and didn’t fit very well at all, but it turned out okay. I’m looking forward to seeing yours!
RoninUtah Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Very nice old F-series! I especially like the way you weathered the exhaust stack. Great work!
Edward Gore Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Nice overall. I especially like the weathering on the exhaust stack, tires, and greasy trailer hitch thing
Warren D Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Looks good. I always was wary of the short wheel base single axle COE's, they look like they would flip over forward in a hard stop when bobtailing.
leafsprings Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Nice work on this almost forgotten Mack F, the Cruiseliner got all the fame from AMT, always like the cab design and how modern it looked back in the day. No frills fleet treatment is spot on.
OldTrucker Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Great to see a Mack Cabover of that era built! Yours looks great considering what you had to work with on the cab!
