oldcarfan Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 A few years ago I bought a hatchback and a wagon Pinto with the idea of turning them into early 70s versions. I found a conversion to turn the slantnose Pintos into the early small bumper version. I thought I bookmarked it but never followed up. Two computers later, I lost the bookmark and can find only a couple of resin full kits. Does this conversion exist?
sfhess Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Morgan Automotive Detail offered a 71 Pinto wagon kit. I purchased one several years ago. Not sure if it is still in production. Check here: 71-73 Pinto Wagon - Morgan Automotive Detail (madmodeling.com)
TarheelRick Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Not to steal this post, but is there a conversion to make the current AMT Pinto selection into a '79-80 model?

The MPC Pinto Wagon that was reissued a few years ago has the front end and bumpers you need. Don't know if it will need adjustment, but should work. I'm not sure if they changed the taillights for the 79 Pinto, though. Edited June 14, 2024 by oldcarfan

I'm doing this conversion with this wagon front end and the current popper pinto, it's not too bad.. still working on it though 1

Last year I built the Blues Brothers Illinois nazis' car, and posed it on a fictitious shop display: I put a lot of work in the nose section, and can show more photos if needed.
