This is an old R M R Vacuum-Craft trans kit consisting of the body, interior "tub", and a bench seat which I did not use. Looks pretty good on a Revell 67 Chevelle chassis, right?thumbnail_20230909_105702.jpg.c78a1df5f518511c549cf08e50162b2c.jpg

It'll be interesting to see what you do with it. Looks like a pretty clean casting.

I have the Jimmy Flintstone one which looks identical to yours, right down to the incorrect rear window openings and Yeoman trim.

Look forward to your WIP on the '58 Wagon. I also bought a conversion kit over a year ago but still have other projects in front of that.

Following. I will be interested in all the kitbashing it takes to put this together. I have one of the Jimmy Flintstone sedan delivery bodies.

Cool project. Gotta love old wagons. Wonder if they are any still left floating around?

Thanks! Not sure about that though. I found this one on Etsy. I wonder why mine doesn't have the tailgate ribs on it?

Good looking project. Interesting roof treatment. What is PET tape?

I'm not sure what the acronym stands for, but it's clear tape with a design printed on it. It goes on like window tint. You separate the design from the clear backing sheet, and it's got an adhesive on it.

Yeah the outside was very crisp and pretty nice over all, but there was a "short" on one of the lower rear quarter panels. The inside however, was a whole different story. Lots of dremel work to get the interior tub and dash to fit properly. Not to mention the window areas all needed quite a bit of attention. You can definitely tell this was a "slush cast".

The chrome on the tailgate maybe an option. I believe the 55 had them maybe it is a 55 tailgate?

My son got married in Palm Springs, California last March. We came out of our hotel room one morning and this was in the parking lot. Very cool.

That's beautiful! I see this one doesn't have the tailgate "ribs" on it. I wonder if that's a trim level thing? That's the color scheme of my 56 Ford pickup, Lol.

The green one is not stock. They did not come with the ribs.

Only the Nomad, which had the same trim as an Impala had the strips on the tail gate and it only came as a 4 door.

From what we could tell via a quick internet search it looked like the Yeoman models were "strippers" that lacked the rear trim. It could have been an option. I know very little about this era but the wagon was neat. It had exhaust cutouts and a beautiful interior as well.
