I have visited almost all of my local stores 4 wally worlds, and multiple grocery stores, both national chains and  locally owned. I have not been able to find Future/ Pledge with Future/ Pledge Acrylic. Has it been discontinued? is there an alternative?

You know, there is a sticky thread about this topic in the Tips and Tricks section of the forum. Hard to miss.  If you look at few of the recent posts in there, you'll find some alternatives.

This stuff is at Walmart and it's less than 10 bucks for a lifetime supply. Works the same as the old Future.

Bought this container a few years ago at Wally World and told my wife when I pass, she should use the rest of it on our floors.

Thank you. Am I correct to assume same application technique?  I thought it was gone. I saw some Pledge Acrylic floor care on a popular shopping sit listed for $99 for 32oz bottle.

Yes, use as you would the old stuff. Not sure it's the same formula but it works the same.

Today I am going to my Wal-Mart to see if they have it. So far, they have not.

I saw it online. Since I live in the sticks, I order a lot of stuff and sit back and wait. :)

That yellowing in the bottle led me to get rid of it while I was on a model RR binge for the last year.

Question: Was this stored in the dark or heat or cold or in daylight? Curious what causes the yellowing.

When's the last time you physically saw a bottle on a shelf for sale? It was discontinued in January of 2022.

Well, I did mention that it was a lifetime supply, so...

I'd be interested to see if this stuff would work the same. They also have a multi surface polish. Cheap enough to try on some scrap I'd think.

my Future was stored in a cabinet in the cool basement. It was at least 5 years old (likely closer to 10) when I got rid of it.  I'm not sure on that particular BONA product. I use their floor cleaner because it does not leave any residue/ build-up.

Walmart. I’ve read on other boards and groups that this is a great replacement and it is reasonable in price.

Thanks Keith, I’m glad there’s an alternative.

Because times they are changin'.  Most hard type floors today (which in the past would need to be rejuvenated) are made from vinyl, and often have satin or flat finish to begin with.  You don't want to put glossy clear over that - it would ruin the look.  And the glossy vinyl floors have very durable finish which does not need to be clear coated.

So there isn't much market for floor coatings or waxes.  If it doesn't sell, well, the stores don't carry it.

Some thing is happening with bars of soap - the younger generations are all into liquid body wash. Look at the variety of body washes vs. bar soap variety.  And even nuttier is that now shampoos are being phased out by 2-in-one body-wash/shampoo.  I like my bar soap and shampoo separate, thank you. And just plain shampoo. I don't want that stinking conditioner in it.  Plain shampoo (not the shampoo/conditioner combo) variety is also shrinking.

We sure live in strange times.  Rant over!  :)

Best unsolicited advice I ever received was from my neighbor. He told me to stop using bar soap and I would have a lot less soap scum in the shower. He was right!

Agreed on the floor polish. I suspect that the folks that still have the flooring that Future was intended for are probably not into doing anything to it past maybe sweeping.

LOL.  Yes, I have heard that too and I believe it is true, but I still like my bar soap!  We all have our idiosyncrasies.

I’m OK with just bar soap or body wash for everything…haven’t bought shampoo for a while now…do you think Pledge might add too much shine??
