Erik Solie Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 Ok, guess I should put these up here as well. Finally, our takes on the 1965 Nova get not one, but two kits. These should be available in a few months, so hopefully no long wait for you. New 1965 grille for both. The SS Coupe should have tampo whitewalls on the tires. For those playing along at home, your stock # bingo cards should now be full for kits 2320~2324 (all five of our kits for the Chevy II's) What could be next????? Erik Solie Moebius Models 7
Maindrian Pace Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Two great new additions, both to be added to the Moebius collection.

So, a whole new body would need to be tooled up. I'm not sure what parts (if any) would carry over to the 1966-1967 car. Since it was a 2 year only body style, that would make a business case for new tooling a bit harder to justify. But, one can always hope. I also think a Ragtop or Four Door body might be possibilities for a future extension of the tooling. ( I'd prefer the 4 door Sedan, but I think the 'Vert would sell better) Edited June 28, 2024 by stavanzer

I could see Möebius doing a stock '65 2dr sedan since they already have the body from the gasser version. 1

Erik Solie Moebius Models I can't wait for these kits to come out, however the illustration on the stock Nova SS kit box is of the base Nova 400 Hardtop, and not the Nova SS.
Ragtop Man Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 The very limited production Bill Thomas Fastback (think he might have done a handful of them?) would be a pretty interesting variant, with drag and road-race versions aplenty. Reference would be hard to come by, not sure if any survived. Or, if there was a convertible version, the FB top could be a toss-in-the-box item in the same manner as the Italien roof was in the '64 Thunderbird. Alertnatively, it would seem to be pretty straightforward to go early and possibly include the 4-cylinder granny engine, early grille and trim. That said, I'm far from a Nova expert, and it might be like moving a mountain.

64Comet404 Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 I would love to see Moebius give the parts to convert the Nova into an Acadian. Anyone else? 6
Lurch209 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Would be awesome to see moebius produce more Chevrolet kits of different models.

ncbuckeye67 Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 I for one, would love to see a station wagon. A convertible would be nice too. 2
Oldriginal86 Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 AMT has done a pretty good job with the wagon, but the convertible has been neglected. Trumpeter kits are not in my budget for a plastic model kit. I saw one at a show for $75. Too rich for my wallet and the chassis detail is not as good as the Moebius kits.
Ron Hamilton Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 Personally, I'd like to see a 65 Nova 100 2 door Sedan in both street machine and Replica Stock form withh steelie, dog dishes, a bench seat interior, and a 6 cylinder or v8 engine. It can bring done. 3 1

TarheelRick Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 The Dixie Twister tribute is still on the circuit and very active. This picture was taken at the SEGA event at Farmington Dragstrip, NC in 2022. It was also at the North Wilkesboro Dragstrip, NC in 2023. 2

Unfortunately, for some reason no Novas after 63 were convertibles. It would be cool to see a re-release of the 63 rag top though. The old kits have gotten too expensive.
