Gustavo Reis Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 Finished yesterday. The Chevy Belair 57 from the Hollywood Knights movie. Kit from Revell. 8
espo Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 Beautiful paint work and you captured the overall look of the car as it appeared in the movie. Must have been a job removing the Bel Air insert trim on the rear fenders.
Tim W. SoCal Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 Bitchen rendition of good ol' Project X! It made me wanna PUKE when GM converted this car to EV in 2021. Glad they pulled that electric motor and converted it back to gasoline fueled power with their 632 Cubic Inch BBC.
keviiin86 Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 really nice! Did you sand down the bel air trim on the sides? Always wanted to do a 210 build but that seems difficult to get rid of all that trim on the 1/4s.
TransAmMike Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 Well it's a '57....gonna look good.....Hey, very good lookin', great job Gustavo?
Gustavo Reis Posted June 28, 2024 Author Posted June 28, 2024 Thank you guys. To remove the trim on the sides I protect the external trim with 2 or more layers of Tamiya masking tape and carefuly use sand paper and x-acto blade.
XYHARRY Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 Beautiful 57 movie car which reminds me of another 57 movie car from the Australian movie 'Running on Empty ' which I would like to recreate in scale one day. Really well done Gustavo. Cheers, David. ?? 1
Zippi Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 I'm not a big fan of yellow but your 57 looks AMAZING in that shade of yellow. Very nicely built Gustavo. I like it.
ncbuckeye67 Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 That looks amazing in yellow! Great looking build.
Keef Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 That looks amazing!! Love the movie and LOVE your build!!
