Tom99 Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 I just finished me 1979 Nova. It's painted 1979 Chevrolet Medium Green (44) from scale finishes. I found a picture of a medium green with white bucket seats on line. 10
espo Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 Great looking paint and interior color combination. Clean paint detailing.
bobss396 Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 Wow, even has a cat on it. I have never done a kit with one on it. I like the color. One of our club members had a great survivor one, light blue with a white roof, IIRC painted not vinyl. Unfortunately we lost him a few years back.
Volzfan59 Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 Very nicely done, looks like the real thing. I really like the color. Well done.
stavanzer Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Those could be Showroom Photos! The Factory Stock Colour is perfect. That is a wonderful build! Good Show.
exnyman Posted July 6, 2024 Posted July 6, 2024 Fantastic looking Nova! You nailed it right down to the body color Rally Wheels! I worked for Avis Used Car division when these were new. Whenever we got a car on the lot from the fleet that was this color green, the salespeople would get upset, because they didn’t sell well. It seemed at the time it wasn’t too popular a color. We had a 79 Nova this color on the lot for months before it sold. There was a Grand Prix the same color that took even longer to sell. Personally, I like green so I couldn’t understand why it wasn’t popular.
Casson16 Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 Awesome finish! Has me wanting to build one of these! The green was a perfect choice.
Casson16 Posted July 10, 2024 Posted July 10, 2024 - can I ask what was your technique to replicate overspray on the undercarriage? Just freestyle by eye?
