Can-Con Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 Not perfect but I think it turned out pretty good for a rebuilt junker. 11
Intmd8r Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 Looks like a period correct ‘90’s custom. The engine swap was a nice surprise-made the build even better 1
Musclecarbuilder Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 So cool! How'd you do the pink/purple pin stripe that divides the white from the silver? 1
XYHARRY Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 Cool rebuild there Steve, detail and stance looks good. Well done. Cheers, David. ?? 1
thatz4u Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 some of my rebuilders should look so nice, well done... 1

With great difficulty, Will. ? Seriously though it was the one thing on truck that gave me the most grief. I first sprayed the whole truck with the silver, then airbrushed the magenta on there the strip would be. Then I layed down the strip with 1/64" fine line masking tape and resprayed the silver. Then I masked off everything else that wasn't supposed to be white and sprayed that. Should have been easy but I had to go back and re-mask and respray everything a few times to get it 1/2 decent. I do have a few things I'd do different next time though.

Steve H Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 Really cool truck Steve. Great stance! Paint sounds like it would have been a challenge for sure, it turned out beautifully. Cheers, Steve 1
Robberbaron Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 Looks like it's straight out of the pages of Sport Truck, circa 1993. My brother's 1:1 had a similar burgundy interior. 1
