jjsipes Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Just completed my Revell 1949 Mercury Custom. This is the 2nd one of these I have built plus I built the Wagon a few years ago. Painted with Tamiya Pearl Yellow with Testors Leather interior. Wanted to try and get an old school look. Used a set of Pegasus Chrome Reverse rims and white walls. I found a set of lake pipes from the prior one I built. 10
espo Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 You sure did capture the early Kustom look. Bright paint and good-looking chassis detailing.
happy grumpy Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Good old Merc looks pretty cool in that yellow. Beautiful work.
karbuildr Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Gotta like a 49 Mercury. Very well done details and paint.
bisc63 Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 Strikingly simple paint scheme is bold and beautiful. Great custom! Well done.
XYHARRY Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 This is my favourite kit, I wish I had bought more when they were available. Your build looks great and the leather interior looks good with the yellow, well done Jason. Cheers, David. ??
ncbuckeye67 Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 That is beautiful! I would never have thought yellow would look so good on that.

ewetwo Posted July 17, 2024 Posted July 17, 2024 really nice. There is a 1.1 for sale that looks like this not too far from me. Not as custom as yours though. It's in flat back.
