stavanzer Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 Oh, the AMT Kit! Great Work! It is such a wonderful kit. You did a Fantastic job on the kit. Those wire wheels are a bear to get together neatly. Yours look really good. The detail painting is Spot On! I have three in my stash. Good Show.

stavanzer Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 I bought them over 20 years ago, when I had both Money and Time. I was working 12 hour Graveyard shifts, 7pm to 8am. I made lot's of O.T., and the pay was very good. I had access and permission to surf the web at work, as long as I always answered the phone! Between my wife and I we'd spend between $800.00 to $1200.00 a month on eBay items. I spent the nights haunting eBay for deals, and bought multiples of Model T Ford Kits. I still have most of them. I wish Round2 could conjure up the Parts for this kit. It is the same base kit as the '27 Police Touring car from a few years ago, so I know the base kit is still viable.
maxwell48098 Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 Great build. I used that kits as the basis for another style pumper by stretching the wheelbase and adding a scratchbuilt body.
stavanzer Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 Very Sharp Builds, A.J. What did you use for the rear wheels/tires? They look Stout.

I built one about 12 years ago and gave it to a retired fire chief here. I asked him about it recently and he said it had gone adrift.

Zippi Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 Really nice looking 27 Model T Fire truck Robert. Nice detail work.

Rattlecan Dan Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 The pessimist says the glass is half empty. The optimist says the glass is half full. The realist says the glass is twice as big as it needs to be. Very nice classic build Robert!
