Let me give you a hint:

This truck was the fastest truck during the time it was used. ItI was used as a test vehicle.

The hint helped a lot.  Putting "fastest truck" into Google gave a flood of modern pickups, but when I put in "test truck" "fastest"" and "unusual", this was the first thing that came up

Congrats to the two of you who found the answer.

I spent quite a lot of time in Google but found absolutely nothing. I've never even heard about that truck but in all of its' weirdness it's actually pretty cool! That thing would be interesting to see in person.
