Brianl Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Always been a fan of the Lil Coffin but thought the front end on the model didn't sit right so I beefed it up and widened the rear while I was at it. Tamiya black with a mica red overspray on the roof and nose Brian 10
redscampi Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Awesome build! Stance is spot on and I love the two tone.
Tim W. SoCal Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Bitchen modernization of the iconic Li'l Coffin, Brian! Your color choices , modern wheels & tires and the blown 426 Hemi all work really well with this kits. Great conceptualization!...
Claude Thibodeau Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Hi Brian! Very, very nice, quite the improvement. Bravo! If I may: what's the provenance of the wheels? They look and fit great... CT
Brianl Posted July 29, 2024 Author Posted July 29, 2024 Thanks for the kind comments gentlemen. Claude, I think the wheels came from a Mustang SVO kit with the inner rims stuck on the outside. Wheels and stance are something I decide on before I start a build as they are pivotal to the final look. Brian
espo Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Great looking changes to the body. Like the color selections.
Russell C Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 I'd call that a significant improvement! Fabulous color.
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Wow! Checking out that stance. Real attitude.
Bruce Scully Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Really well built Brian , you have still got the magic mate.
Bainford Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 Very nice update of this old Monogram classic. Your mods are a definite improvement. The stance is much more in line with how the car should have been built originally. The colours are well chosen, too. Well done.
Koellefornia Kid Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 I always wanted to do something special with this iconic kit, now you have a heads up and you did great! Looks very nice!
XYHARRY Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Great colour combo on this, excellent body mods too. Well done Brian. Cheers, David. ??
TooOld Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Swapping out the fenders and widening the overall stance really makes a huge difference ! And it looks great in black , well done !

I agree, Me too, I always establish the rolling stock at the start of a buid: It influences soooo many things in the construction. CT
David G. Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 A definite improvement, beautifully done! David G.
