Tom99 Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 I started with a $2.00 glue bomb. It was all there, and the chrome was great. It must have had 6 coats of different color paint on it, plus all sorts of glue on things. I added a resin 6 cylinder engine. It's painted 1960 Ford Belmont Blue. 14
carrucha Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 Cool wagon. Nice to see a six cylinder engine in it.
ncbuckeye67 Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 That's awesome! I love to see a good restoration. Especially on an oldie like that!
Ragtop Man Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 Nice. Knew a guy in Dearborn who had a **dead** mint stawag - got it from a local funeral home who used it as a first-call vehicle for babies or young children. Thankfully, extremely low mileage car so very little use. Not sure what happened to it.
espo Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 Beautiful looking save. Like the colors and the interior done to match.
STU111 Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 Great restoration of an older model, looks great.??. We got the 4 door Falcon wagons here in Australia, haven’t seen one for a long time now except at car shows. Cheers, Stu.
Maindrian Pace Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 Very nice, really clean and correct job on the conversion.
RoninUtah Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 Brings back memories! When I was a kid, my parents had a 61 Falcon wagon that exact color blue!
XYHARRY Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 Very nice save there Tom, you did well to pick this up for $2.00. I looked up what Modelhaus models are going for on eBay and they are not cheap. Well done. Cheers, David. ??
Zippi Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 That glue bomb turned out pretty good Tom. That straight 6 fit the ticket.
satterwhite78 Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 Best $2 bucks spent. I better there's very few on this forum that paid that much for such a kit. Awesome!
