I said I would add more because I had more, so here are the last of them.

To begin, we have a 1963 ford Falcon owned by my dad's father. We actually know nothing about this car, as he isn't around to tell us about it, and even my Great Uncle doesn't remember my dad's father having this car, so he must've had it for a very short time.

Next, this is my Great Uncle Lauri's second 1964 ford Galaxie. It was dark green, and this is actually the one I based my 1964 AMT Galaxie model after. This photo was taken in 1965.green.jpeg

Right here is a 1962 Ford Galaxie (mom's side of the family) that was owned by my Nonno. This was alledgedly his fourth car, and it was a burgundy four-door with a white top, and 1957 Ford hubcaps. Sitting on the fender are my Aunts. This photo was taken 1964.sicksty Tues.jpeg

This is my Great Uncle Lauri and his first 1964 Ford Galaxie. Taken on a local beach in 1965.G's Gal.jpeg

This is my grandma's father's (mom's side of the family) 1953 Chevy 210. It was brown with a white top, and the car actually still exists; (see below this photo) Taken on May 14th, 1960, the day of my grandparent's wedding.original_May 14th 1960.jpg

This is the same car from above., dumped in '62, according to the plate on the bumper, it was left to rot in a gully on my grandparent's property. The thing must've rolled twice before ending upside-down at the bottom of the gullyIMG_2031.JPG

(mom's side of the family) Taken 1975, this is my Nonno's 1970 Mercury Marquis, the car that replaced the '62 Galaxie. This was apparently his favourite car he owned. In the background is his first Truck, a 1963 Chevy.marquis 2.jpeg

This is my Great Uncle Jim's 1960 Plymouth Belvedere. The photo was taken in 1962, as he chauffered my grandma (dad's side of the family) to her wedding. With her is a friend of the family who gave her away as her dad died in WW2.

A little farther down from their wedding, our local Algoma West Used Cars lot is situated (now known as Deresti Motors) and there are some neat cars I figured I'd share.

lil' more.jpeg

A better view, one can see a 1959 Chevy sedan, 1960 and '61 Chevy wagons, 1955 Buick, 1953 Chevy, 1955 Meteor wagon, and on roadside appears to be a Renault Dauphine, anywhere between '56 and '62 I believe.1962 also copy.jpeg

I might be able to share a little information on your Grandfather's Falcon. A friend of mine had a very similar Falcon to the one in the picture. The chrome body trim looks like this could be a Futura model which was Ford's upscale Falcon. Next notice the emblem on the front fender, this was where Ford would call out what engine was in the car, and this looks like the "260" V-8 emblem. My friend's father worked for a Ford dealer, and he was able to get a good deal on a new Falcon with the 260 engine. His was equipped with a 3-speed manual on the column but a 4-speed or even a Fordomatic was available. Even at that his was a very fast little car that could easily catch someone of guard if they that they could put down a little Falcon. The first picture of the '64 Ford Galaxy 500 looks like it has the 390 engine emblems on the lower front fenders. The '62 Ford with the two pretty young ladies on the fender may have had a 6 cylinder or one of the more basic V-8's. Hard to tell which engine may be in the dark blue or black Galaxie as the foot of the guy holding his breath is covering the area where the emblems would have been. A special event with a '53 Chevrolet in the background. Looks like a crash from a long time ago, maybe in a creek bed? You must have grown up in a "Ford Family" by the looks of the Mercury. Someone getting married? "60 Plymouth and probably a Belvidere model from the looks of the trim.

Thanks for shedding some light on the Falcon; I was trying to see the badge more clearly, but couldn’t make it out, but the 260 guess is a good possibility. My Great Uncle said both his Galaxies had the 390, but the black and white photo one was customized a bit as it had allegedly had pipes coming out from behind the front wheels though it’s rather hard to see in the photo. That ‘53 Chevy was dumped as it just stopped working I guess; it has been sitting that way since 1962, though the photo was taken last year. My parents definitely grew up in Ford families, though I’m living in a Toyota family currently as both my parents have Toyotas.

I noticed your '60 Plymouth Avatar. Mine is a model of a '67 El Camino I had many years ago. Made the mistake of selling it since I wanted a new pickup and at the time it was just considered another old car.

Yeah that photo is just from the internet; the 1960 Plymouth is my absolute favourite car, but I have never saw one in real life, one of the photos up there is of my Great Uncle Jim’s 1960 Belvedere, and the avatar there is the closest match to that car I could find.
