What’s better than starting a new build when you have about 25 already started? Starting 2, of course. Purchased 2 Salvinos’ 442 kits on sale from Mike’s. Both have been primed with grey and have been top coated with white.IMG_7924.thumb.jpeg.673c5481ab1fa08b39f08aca51e5e0ae.jpeg

I got a Lemans kit, same series. Which I realized was "modeled" after the GMP and or Monogram Buick Regal kits. I had to make some mods to the firewall and rear wheel tubs to close up large gaps. I should pick up a 442 kit myself... I have probably close to 30 stalled builds in my queue.

I’ll see you your two and raise you 2 all primed and ready to be made as:

Benny Parsons Racing

AJ Foyt

Cale Yarborough

Buddy Baker’s Gray Ghost

How are your builds progressing? Could you help out a fellow journeyman? I can’t locate the steering linkage in any of the 4 kits that I’m building. It’s part #38 in step 6 of your instructions. Could you take a look and see if you have the part and if so provide a picture of which sprue tree it’s on? Many thanks.

The builds are complete. The part in question is extremely thin, I don’t recall which parts tree it’s on, sometimes the part is broken, it’s very fragile, poor designing.

Check for more pictures in the NASCAR section titled, Donnie, Cale, 1979.IMG_8035.thumb.jpeg.91f64cbf3341a4abffcaf633a63246be.jpegIMG_8033.thumb.jpeg.2dd797fb605c5c22e634896b42cd7191.jpeg

They look great. Thank you for the response. I find it bizarre that I can’t find this part from all 4 kits. No matter, I will design and 3D-print a replacement. Cheers.

This is a parts tree from Salvinos Monte Carlo. I believe it is the same as the 442. Also is #38. Look at the bottom right corner.IMG_8173.thumb.jpeg.451cc882a847f4c80b39cca6fa40ec80.jpeg

Thank you. Yes, I recognise that tree. I appreciate your help.

I’ve found the 4 parts. Seeing the sprue jogged my memory as to where I’d put them. Thank you.
