Cool Hand Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Started this build 2 years ago, but it stalled out for some reason that I cant recall. Recently got it back on the bench for completion. Its a decent kit for Snaptite. I built it for the purpose of practicing and learning how to airbrush SMS pearl paints. Sometimes its good to do simple builds that will help to develop new skills. Wip can be seen in my build thread 11
espo Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Like the smooth body work. Removing the gun sights from the hood along with the signage on the front and rear trunk was often done when these were new. Removing some of the signature side trim also makes the body look longer and smoother. Great looking stance. 1
ksnow Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 I like that blue. And man, that is in the weeds all the way. Very nice. 1
Zippi Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 WOWSER...that's one bad looking 57 Hardtop Luke. That just looks so clean. Are you using one of those light boxes for your photos? 1
spencer1984 Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Very clean, nice work! I really like this kit as well. 1
DJMar Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 That is one clean '57. Awesome build. Love the color! 1
Moparman18064 Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Looks so clean with the body mods! Bravo! 1
KWT Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Fantastic build here. The customizing is so clean it looks like it was molded this way. Dig that paint job! Very nicely done 1
TransAmMike Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 I'm not a customized '57 Chevy fan but I do like what you've done on this one Luke. The '57 SnapTite kit to me is actually a darn nice kit....I've done 2. Great job? 1
XYHARRY Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Great looking 57 there Luke, just the right amount of mods. Well done. Cheers, David. ?? 1

Yes Bob, its one of the large photo light boxes. Still learning to get the camera settings dialled in when using the light box.
ncbuckeye67 Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 That paint is gorgeous! Love the ride height & the stance too. 1
ReduitRetro Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Holy smokes that's NICE! Removing emblems and other body details not only smooths out the body, but it allows your eyes to just take in the classic iconic lines of the car. And the paint application brings it all home for me. Love the stance, the reversed rake and rear squat, and the perfect wheel choice for the look. Great job! 1
Steve H Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Smooooooooth…. Another beautiful build Luke. Removing some of the iconic trim of the 57 creates quite a different look. ?? 1
Koellefornia Kid Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Love the smooth‘n‘clean look! Stance is right where it needs to be! ? 1

STU111 Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Oh yeah, that’s smooth. Removal of the ribbed Belair side panel trim is a simple but effective touch.
