Hi all,

Would it be enough to drop the hood decals and chin spoiler to convert the kit to a '69 car?

Thanks

To my understanding yes. Although there are boatloads of '69 kits over three releases out there that could be purchased for less than what the new '70 boxing will sell for when it's released.

Yes. All '70s were re-titled '69 leftovers, IIRC done under the watchful eye of the Michigan State Police.

Need to snap up a few to build Quarter Horse!

Just saw that my local hobby shop has it in stock as of today, but odd that the sticker price is about 5 euro (about the same in Mickey Mouse money) higher than the new vette kit.

Licensing?!

Revell's suggested prices are  36.99 and 39.99 EUR for the C8 and GT500, respectively. Not 5 EUR, but yes, more expensive than the Corvette despite being an old, depreciated kit.

I will, provided you supply the complete list of VINs to choose from.

The production run of the Shelby is probably half of what the C8s are, given it's a chin spoiler and decal sheet of difference over the '69. I can see where they'd hedge their bets on exactly how many you'd make of something so slightly different.

Compared to the C8 being a brand new tool with (in theory at least) a much larger appeal if for nothing else that you couldn't ever build one before now.
