Foil work looks terrific - you must have steady hands, lots of fresh X-acto blades and more than a normal share of patience!

No injuries so far but there's still time. The nose still needs attention. The vent wings have me scratching my head. I just don't know how that's going to work.  I have foil there now and the glass goes in from outside. That should be fun. I resigned myself to the blue going un-rubbed. It looks pretty good. It's shiny.  I polished the roof and the trunk lid area and I refuse to touch those front fenders again so....that's it.  The hood got more paint on it and a coat of clear and the "frosting" is still there but very faint when viewed from a certain angle.  The next thing is the nose foiling and oh.....I need to paint the engine bay black ?.....?

I can understand what you mean about the vent wings. I have been stalling on doing the windshield frame on my Vette. If I wrap the whole frame with BMF then what happens when I glue the windshield in place. Will it just pull the foil off? Or do I just molotow the frame and accept that it won't match the rest of the trim.?

I think I would not wrap the frame with foil. I would install the glass using the "Gold +" CA. It won't fog the glass. Then maybe Molotow with a fine brush. As long as you have a good strong bond, you may be OK to foil the frame.  I will use the Gold+ on my vent glass and it should be OK. We shall see. ?   With the foil in there I may not need to glue them. Just press them in place. Maybe. Then hit them with clear enamel.

What's next is anything that needs paint until the weather becomes prohibitive. There's a '65 Impala ragtop that's been waiting for, I think, two years and a 300C that needs a second coat (never should have painted that one black.)  Then there's a half-dozen that need batteries and radiator hoses. A few of them need final assembly.  Loose ends everywhere ?. I dunno, Bil. The bench needs a good clean-up and re-organizing. 

Right now, though, I have a few images for your viewing pleasure ?  it was time to put the Edsel together so with great difficulty I was able to get the body on the chassis. The instructions show the radiator assembly installation in a very ambiguous manner. I discovered that the radiator assembly must be inserted from the top after joining the body to the chassis. The bottom hose ? It gets in the way, of course. The top hose is a piece of wire insulation. There was a problem with the kit piece. The heater hoses were a bit tricky too. I had to replace one of them with wire also. All in a day's work. This kit is pretty good about details so I didn't bother with a few things like battery cables and just painted the ones that were molded in. Thanks for looking and don't hesitate to make your feelings known. 

There's still little stuff like back-up lights but this one is soon headed for the "shelf of mediocrity "

Well Jim I’d say it’s a little better than mediocre, and no where near shelf of shame. 
id say pick one that needs a little work and haul it  across the finish line. You gotta get those numbers up! A bench cleansing is always good, I’ve done those quite frequently I can’t stand working in clutter, that and my bench is dual purpose( serves as an office desk at times when I need to use my laptop( I’ve never used it in my lap yet!)).

 Clean it all off and take a look in some boxes you might find a build that was a challenge and a fresh look might have the new inspiration! Or hell ignore them all and start something fresh! ?

Most of it did, Greg, but there are a few very small things that may only be a problem for me.  I mentioned the radiator situation. The rear body panel probably needed to be attached during final assembly; I wanted it in place for paint. I had calculated the chassis install would be difficult and it was. That was my choice. Sometimes the instructions don't work. Ìt was an enjoyable kit with nice detail. IMHO, this is a good kit for an OOB build. It doesn't need any additional detailing, only painting what's there.

You use instructions? I always thought they were a desk liner so you don’t get paint and glue on your desk.

I refer to the instructions for advice ?. The instructions are simply a guide and not necessarily the best way to do anything, as we all know, but, when presented with a dilemma, the instructions can sometimes be helpful. The big "road-map" type of instructions can be and have been used for furniture protection but the one in question is not adequate for that role.
