FenderMender Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Built in the early 1960s, the result of a collaboration between my older brother and me, this plastic AMT 3in1 kit of a 1932 Ford was a real joy to construct. Both of us thought the "futuristic" rear end of a 1959 Chevrolet would look pretty darn cool molded to the hot rod's rear end. The fins remain the same through the years. LOL 6
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 What a treasure from the past! This is a wild machine.
STU111 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 That’s awesome. A real 60’s custom. It’s also cool that it’s survived all these years. Thanks for sharing that one.??
XYHARRY Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Fantastic, a great reminder of your youth. A true early 60s custom hotrod, literally. Thanks for sharing Bob. Cheers, David. ??
Zippi Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Pretty kewl looking custom build from back in the day.
echo Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 Nice to see a survivor. Reminds me of seeing the custom model cars at shows and in the model car magazines in the 60's,. Customizing back then was an adventure trying to use plastic wood as a filler. Thanks for posting.
Kenmojr Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 Cool beyond worlds. What a treasure from your past....
Rattlecan Dan Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Nice to have kept it. Had I made it back in the day, I would have stared at it for hours thinking how cool it was.
