hedotwo Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Finished up this Decko resin Cad finally. I'll start by saying it was a great build as the parts fit beautifully and the body required almost no prep other than the usual resin cleaning. I added a vinyl top and while I'm ok with the end result, I wouldn't do another top in this way. I used a rougher texture spray to start with and did alot of sanding to take it down to what I thought would be a decent look. But it's still too heavy and the seam strips are still too heavy as well. Otherwise, I used Scalefinishes 1969 Cadillac Palmetto Green and Tamiya's TS-7 Racing White for the interior and the top. Thanks for looking! 13
ncbuckeye67 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 That's awesome! Great choice for paint, using a beautiful factory color like that.
Radretireddad Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 That’s my favorite sixties American road sofa. The first thing I remembered when I saw your build was the scent of the red leather interior we had in ours. Great build.
rv1963 Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Beautiful work on your caddy, I wish one of the big companies would make one of these.
happy grumpy Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Really nice Caddy. Great job on the paint . I like those old land yachts.
espo Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Great looking color combination and clean body trim.
Zippi Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 Your 69 Caddy turned out pretty nice Rich. The green looks nice and so does the white top. The white wall tires give it that extra pop.
Jeffcad Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 That's a marvelous Cadillac, excellent work here !.
XYHARRY Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Beautiful Cadillac there Rich, your vinyl roof looks good to me. Really nice colour choices too. Well done. Cheers, David. ??
Rattlecan Dan Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Very realistic Caddy. Did a nice job on that.
mrm Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Looking really good. I've been wanting to build a Caddy of this style but convertible. But I have no idea who would make one. I love those old land yachts.
Chinacar Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Beautiful execution. It's very crisp and showroom perfect.
karbuildr Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Awesome work on that huge Caddy. Excellent color choice, very well done.
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 Very nice. The top looks OK to me. ?
