Hobby Lobby 40% off Sale

Well as most of you probably know every now and then Hobby Lobby has a 40% sale on boxed model kits. Any time I’m in the area I check in to see if I can catch it. Last night I picked up these:

$19.79 for the Boss 

$17.99 for the Vette

They have the 40% off every other week. Great prices on those kits.

To me anything that doesn't fit the descriptions of various forum sections would go into either the General Automotive Discussion, or the Off-Topic section. Not really an issue, but I was just surprised.

Nick, here's a link to the ongoing Hobby Lobby thread.  You probably didn't see it because it has dropped 4 pages down in the General section:

Normally it stays closer to the top of the General section, but HL hasn't been getting much of anything different lately, so interest is naturally falling off a bit.

Thanks Robert. Yeah they don’t have much of a selection but at 40% off the price is right. Funny but to me this topic doesn’t fit in any category listed. Don’t get me started on the horrible search engine .

Usually I post my scores either in the "What did you get today?" thread, or the Hobby Lobby thread if I specifically bought it there.  Of course, probably more than half the posts in the HL thread concern what they DON'T have.

The Hobby Lobby near me, never seems to have anything new. It's the same models, just less of them.

I have lived in my house for 17 years. I swear that the Hobby Lobby by my house has been selling the AMT 1968 Shelby GT 500 Mustang for 17 years now. I did buy one 10 years ago.

That's one of the first items Round 2 issued.  Someone is buying them if HL is still putting them on the shelves...

Today was 40% off there so I now have the 66 Chevelle kit

If the name of the model is Mustang, Corvette or Camaro Hobby Lobby will stock it. It's easy name recognition for the non-automotive inclined buyers.
