First impression was the box art. Didn't quite know what to make of the camper shell but forge ahead and built the truck.

Midway through I decided the assemble the Camper shell and things started to take shape.   The more I looked at the camper shell the finished outlook was coming into view.

Most of the internet pics showed a solid paint scheme while few had the 2 tone. The 2 tone was the cab roof/ below the trim color optional while in between ( hood, top of doors/ bed white.  Decided to reverse the 2 tone as to where the blue on the camper matched that of the middle color layer of the truck. I think it worked.

Did not realize that this was a uni-bodied design, no separate  bed. I understood it to be for the 63 model year but was told by a good friend whose dad was a Ford dealership GM that it was from 1961 to 63. They converted back to separate cab/bed in mid 63 production.  It was a revolutionary design being cost cutting and effective but the economy was taking a down turn.

Painted with Krylon Gloss Blue Ocean Breeze and Dover White. The Ford letters on the tail gate were hand painted with the body blue.

By reversing the way Ford usually did their two-tone paint treatments this seems even more eye catching. The paint finish and the two-tone margins all look very cleanly done.

nice work
the camper shell is confusing to me it does not seem to big enought to stand up in and there is no way into  it from the outside other then the trucks  tailgate so you would have to slide into it either on you back or front  and the section above the roof of the truck is not big enough for it to be a sleeping shelf so why the window
to me it feels like it is more of a custom bed cap then a simplified camper that would be placed in the bed

That is absolutely gorgeous! Your two-tone color scheme is perfect. I especially love how you included the front bumper in with that (surprised the back bumper isn't also done that way).

Man, what a Great Build! Your colour choice and detail work are just Awesome. It looks like it could have been in a Dealer Catalogue. What a Sharp, Clean build.

Good Show.
