Tim H Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Doing a build for my brother, he has a 71 Dodge challenger R/T. I want to make a replica of his car. Anyone know of a kit, resin, 3d printed. Or even a transkit for the 70. Thanks Tim
Shark Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Haven't looked lately, but Harts Parts resin does a lot of Mopar transit stuff. 1
eldo60 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 yep, they have lots of conversion parts. I purchased a rear panel to convert the '69 Super Bee to an RT or Coronet 500 with triple light panel. also a hood and side scoops reasonably priced too.
Phirewriter Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Other than obtaining an original kit I have to agree with other posts that Harts is a good starting point. I've never had any issues ordering from him, my past transactions went well.
Tom99 Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 MPC made both a kit and promo, of the 1971 Dodge Challenger.
Nicholas Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 harts has the resin conversion for a 70 challenger to a 71 model, with or without hood
gtx6970 Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 I bought a resin conversion to convert an AMT 70 to a 71 several years ago. To be 100% honest, Im not sure who I got it from though. Thats been a while The pieces came so warped and so thin. There was no way to save them. I dropped them in the trash and went looking for a decent builder original MPC kit
