Mike Slapattack Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Looking great! I recently tried one of these Molotow pens for the first time and was very impressed.
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Everything looks great. I'd certainly be satisfied with your results, and I'm a nasty, picky SOB.
wisco8 Posted September 26, 2024 Author Posted September 26, 2024 A few more little things to do before I can re-gloss. I think it turned out okay. 7

You are correct Sir. I meant to type, clean up any tape residue and carefully re-polish any areas that may have any finger smudges. 2
David G. Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Excellent progress, nice clean work! David G.
Zippi Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 The foil work looks really nice Steve. It's going to be Super sharp once the assembly starts.
Jonathan Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Wow! That is a beautiful color! Nice work so far!
Jonathan Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 The Molotow - I gather you sprayed it (like from the refill bottle), and didn't use the pens? It looks great. 1
drodg Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 This looks great. Two questions did you spray the Molotow and which kit is this?
wisco8 Posted September 26, 2024 Author Posted September 26, 2024 25 minutes ago, drodg said: This looks great. Two questions did you spray the Molotow and which kit is this? Hi David. The Molowtow chrome is sprayed at 15-20 psi. over Mr color GX 100 Super clear III using the Iwata sbs side feed. When your spraying it, make sure to spray a little heavy so it will turn chrome instantly. Sometime you will get a slight fogging, so watch for that. It cleans up with regular lacquer thinner from Menard's. Do not try to thin it, I haven't tried so I wouldn't be able to tell you either way. The kit is the AMT 1/25th 57 Bel Air Street Machine box # 8319. 1

BK9300 Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Amazing paint and beautifully executed trim!

Butter 1 Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Nicely done. I will have to try Molotov. Looks really good.
TransAmMike Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 And I will compliment you again Steve...The side trim and rockers look great. Wow!!
wisco8 Posted September 27, 2024 Author Posted September 27, 2024 Exhaust pipes to engine manifolds test fit looks excellent. I kind of had to weave the pipes through. At first I thought I messed up, but it does fit pretty nice. I test fitted before I painted the pipes. 4
beeRS Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 Stunning work there ??. The paint work and the chrome is amazing.
David G. Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 Nice metal looking finish on those pipes! David G.
wisco8 Posted September 28, 2024 Author Posted September 28, 2024 Engine work with wires added. I'm wondering if there are any aftermarket resin engines with more details? I guess for now it will be okay. 1
David G. Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 Nice detail and wiring on the engine Steve. I think it looks fine, maybe a light blackwash would help bring out what detail is there. David G.
