Has anybody purchased/built the new Knight Rider KITT and KARR kit's from Aoshima? You know, the new 1/24 scale kit's with the light scanner? What's their quality like? How well detailed are they? I've noticed that KARR has two optional light scanners, I've seen one orange, and I've seen one yellow. He properly need's the yellow one.
I'd like to build one of each as I have a small collection of Knight Rider stuff.

Get them while you can.

I purchased Season three K.I.T.T. with the scanner included in the box, not separate like they've been doing as of recent. I see this kit going up in value anytime I check. they keep getting closer to $100 on the bay.

It is a nicely detailed kit, but offers no engine as it is a curbside. I do see they have been popping out different season cars. Not sure if they include the scanners, but all the same if you want them buy them. They are pretty short run kits.

KARR had a red scanner in "Trust Doesn't Rust" in the end he drives off a cliff into the ocean. His next appearance was in K.I.T.T. vs K.A.R.R., he's found on the beach with faded paint and the scanner had turned amber due to the salt water.

I'm a big, big, big fan of Knight Rider and I know the story of KARR very well! My favorite tv villan so far. I just dont' beleive the theory of salt water effecting the color of the light. And I never saw orange, it was a nice brilliant bright yellow. Remember the night-scene where he and John jumped into the Knight trailer to steal those Alpha Capaciters? That yellow light was awesome! I don't like seeing models of KARR's that have the orange light. It's just not as cool looking. Something more senstor about the yellow.

Now i know there is alot of talk that the remake is going to end,has ended, will end,or what ever. But it still comes back :) .my question is do you guys think they will offer the updated K.I.T.T. and K.A.R.R. ?I know in the first season fenally/Second season premere that car was killed by kit going thru the center of car.But i would really like to get my hands on the new K.I.T.T. and K.A.R.R.

I have seen die-cast models of the new Mustang KITT, but not of KARR. In the tv show, the NEW "2008-9" KARR was more robot than car. So, I doubt the new KARR will be done.

Personally, I'll stick with the 80's version.

I still prefer the original, and I've always loved KARR in the third season's episode KITT vs' KARR. First season's episode where they introduced us to KARR was okay, but I prefered the more evil KARR in the third season.
