Repstock Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 (edited) I mastered a 1968 Chevrolet 4 door sedan based on the Supernatural '67 Impala. I had a run of them cast and sold them on eBay some time ago but hadn't actually built one. Finally got around to it and thought I'd share the results. The engine is 3D printed (bought from eBay), and I added separate door handles from the '66 Chevelle wagon. Color is Butternut Yellow touchup paint. Note: There was no "250" badge for the front fender marker light. I should have sanded off the displacement badge, but didn't catch the error until the car was painted. What are you going to do? I went ahead and made a fictitious "250" badge. Edited October 6, 2024 by Repstock 14
STU111 Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 That is stock! Right down to the in-line 6. Looks great, the paint, light weathering underneath, awesome work. ??

TheBEAUMONTGURU Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Awesome work on this. Not very often you see a 68 sedan model! nice!
NOBLNG Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 (edited) Excellent work on the conversion Tom!? I owned two of these in my younger days. I was my Dads, and the other I bought from a buddy. Both had the 250 six and 3 in the tree.? Edited October 7, 2024 by NOBLNG
XYHARRY Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Nice to see a four door sedan, and an Inline six as well. Well done Tom. Cheers, David. ??
James2 Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Now that is a lovely model, well done clean and detailed, I like it.
Moparman18064 Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Outstanding build. The paint is fantastic. Great detailing, love the six!
espo Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Great looking year model conversion plus going with a sedan body style. Have you done a two - door version of a '68 Bel Air?
karbuildr Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Very cool build. The six cylinder makes it different and unique.
yellowsportwagon Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Man I can just imagine how slow that thing was. Great job!!
Mike Slapattack Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 (edited) Very cool! Where did you get the straight 6 engine? Edited October 7, 2024 by Mike Slapattack I forgot to add something.
dragsterguy Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 WOW! I wondered how this kit would be built! Excellent job, this car is going to make a good dragster push car1 WOW again!
rickcaps55 Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Beautiful i love the old underdog cars this is awesome i love the in-line 6 i would love one in a two-door great build.
bobss396 Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Very nicely done. The hubcaps are accurate as well. I would like to build a '66 Belair version using the '67 four door kit to replicate my car.
ncbuckeye67 Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 (edited) Definitely a "missing link" for sure. Excellent conversion work & a beautiful build! The paint is gorgeous, and the weathering on the underside looks great. I would love to pick up one of these. Edited October 7, 2024 by ncbuckeye67
Smitty Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 I love seeing unusual subjects on this forum and your BelAir certainly fits the bill! As I scrolled down through the photos, I fully expected to see a six cylinder under the hood, and there it was! Your paint finish is enviable. Great job overall!
lordairgtar Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Very cool. I love six cylinder cars and the fact it's a four door is awesome. An everyday family car. Not everyone owned an SS two door like the model factories would have you believe.
