Kenmojr Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 I photographed this 1956 Divco milk truck at Hilden, Nova Scotia, Canada - September 21, 2019 Scotia Pine Show & Shine at Scotia Pine Campground. 3
Kenmojr Posted October 9, 2024 Author Posted October 9, 2024 Was a Divco milk truck ever offered in a 1/24 or 1/25 kit?

There were a few diecasts from Autoworld and Danbury Mint, among others. R&R Vacuumcraft and Ron Cash offered some resin bodies/kits a while back. There might have been more, but I can't recall any others at the moment. I don't believe there has ever been a full on plastic kit of one. Jimmy Flinstone still offers a chopped resin body. https://jimmyflintstonestudios.com/NB277--1948-Divco-Chopped-Delivery_p_344.html 1
Kenmojr Posted October 20, 2024 Author Posted October 20, 2024 Thanks for the link. I wonder if anyone here has purchased this resin body?

I once owned this kit which was marketed by Testors and briefly available to hobby shops through normal distribution channels. It contained a Jimmy Flintstone resin body and a minimal number of other parts to make a curbside/slammer model. The windows were molded solid: the entire body shell was roughly 1/4" thick. The body was fairly well done but the lack of any engine, chassis and interior parts made me lose interest in it so I traded it off to a friend. Twenty years later now, and he hasn't touched it either! This pic is from the Spotlight Hobbies site, but the next time I see my friend I will try to post pics of the actual kit here. 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 I bought a slightly damaged Danbury/Bordens 1/24 diecast some time back to pull molds from, but I'm running years behind on doing any of that stuff. 1

Come on man, get your priorities in order...LOL (just joking). Some times life just gets in the way of having fun... 1

Some times life just gets in the way of having fun... I just found and bought another one that's not damaged, for less than I paid for the buggered one. And it's got all the extras too. So now I have one to strip and pull molds from, and a nice display-ready piece for the shelf. That kinda puts the project a little closer. 2
