Claude Thibodeau Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 Hi! Luck brought me two (2!) Vette Agin kits as door prizes at shows last year. After seeing Kindig Design's Riddler winning Vette, I tried a variation on his idea. The Gods of styrene must have sent me a message, don't you think? So... The body and frame were stretched 13 mm (about 1/2 inch) mid-door, to accept the roof from Knight Rider car, which is a copy of a Dodge Stealth greenhouse. Rolling stock from Revell's SSR truck, dash from AMT's 61 Ranchero, and interior mostly scratchbuilt. Paint is Tamya's bright orange + fluorescent orange + pearl clear + TS 13 clear, fully polished. Custom mix for the interior to match the Burberry suitcase on the package shelf. Revell's spray chrome accent on many components (exhaust, air filter, etc.) Hours of fun with styrene! CT 19
espo Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 Beautiful looking body and paint work, all the body lines flow smoothly. The wheels look perfect with the bow tie centers. The interior with the luggage makes a good contrast.
Koellefornia Kid Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 Very nice, Claude! The stretched body and the roof really suits that Vette! Nice interior, too! Very well done!
karbuildr Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 That’s a stunning build. Looks great in orange, very well done.

Chris in Berwyn Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 Great concept and it came out so well!!! And great color and gloss!
mrm Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 Pretty cool. Couple months ago a spend a weekend binge watching all the episodes where the Kindig Vette body was developed from just an idea all the way through finished product. The amount of work and practical engineering mods that were done was just amazing. I like the color you have created, which perfectly compliments the outrageous design of the model.
