This started when two things happened almost simultaneously. @Kit Karson sent me a box of 32 Ford roadster parts (thanks!) and @Dennis Lacy advised me that the front tires in the Revell 1940 Ford street rod fit the Revell Halibrand style front wheels (the front tires in the old roadster and the new ish of the sedan are horrible, IMHO). I know, it doesn't take much to push me over the edge...

-Body is the aforementioned Reps and Mins of MD piece (a roadster body based on the 3 window body with the 3W suicide doors) along with the dash, photo etched panel and gauges and DuVall windshield.

-Frame from the Revell '32 series.

-Engine from the new roadster back dated with ram horn headers and Corvette valve covers. A single 4 bbl carb was employed as well as the kool (I think so anyway) snorkel air cleaner from the parts box.

-Interior from the '32  three window coupe. I cheaped out and used the seatbelt decals form the new roadster. Whatever... Steering wheel from the Revell Model A series of kits.

-Louvered hood from Jason Lookabill (kool stuff, man).

-Paint is Testors Metallic Black (more gray with that big flake), engine and drivetrain were painted Testors Revving Red and interior door panels and seat are Testors Mythical Maroon. Flake city!!!

Just a fun quick build. Again, a tip o' the hat guys for the parts and inspiration! -RRR

Neat build, I dig the idea of the 3w suicide doors on a roadster, I may have to steal that idea for a down the road build. And as usual a clean build from you.

Super cool roadster there Rodney, that Duvall windscreen was the right choice and the colour combo looks great. Really well done.

Cheers,

David. ??

The 32 Ford looks Super kewl there RRR.  Love that deep red interior and the Testors Metallic Black on the body does look nice but like you said, a little more gray than black.  Really nice build.

Beautiful looking roadster. The colors for the body and the interior complement each other. The wheel and tire combination looks perfect with the way the stance is on this. I like the old Oil Bath type air cleaner.
