This is my 1977 Ford Econoline Chateau Cruising Van made from the AMT 1/25 scale 1977 Ford Cruising Van kit. Complete with carpeted interior, seat belts, wood trim, CB radio, 8 track player, etc. The kit allows you to build the '76 or the '77 van as decals for both vans are included in the box.

I discovered there are two lights on the headliner and much of the interior is draped in grey shag carpeting. One thing to note is the plastic kit has sliding door on the passenger side, but the actual Cruising Van has barn doors. I already painted both of my '76 and '77 vans, therefore not incorporating the barn doors on mine for now, but other builders can go the extra mile & make them hundred percent authentic. Paint is Tamiya Silver Leaf and flat black spray paint finished with clearcoat. The correct wheels for the '77 Cruising Van is included in the kit.

You did a great job on this, especially the paint, decals, and the dash detail. How did you attach the carpeting to the roof/walls? I posted 3 vans on the forum, 2 Fords and a Chevy and I've got a Dodge built that I want to post.

Thank you everyone for the compliment! Much appreciated!

@Leica007Carpeting attached with epoxy. It comes in a tube with resin on one side and hardener on the other side. Pressing down on the plunger slowly will dispense equal parts of both. Once mixed it's good for about five minutes until it hardens. I like the epoxy because it allows you to adjust and also the finished job is much more cleaner than if you use super glue. The super glue does react with felt and can leave unsightly stain if not used carefully.
