ncbuckeye67 Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 That's amazing! Your paint is beautiful, and the black detailing on the wheels & around the fender flares is killer. 1 1
espo Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 When this car was new, I was working in a Toyota dealership and had a Demo with a shade of red almost this color. Your detailing of the body trim, flares, and wheel & tires are just as I remember them. By the way, these cars were a kick in the head on a winding country road. 1
Roger U Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 Very nice. The paint, trim, and details are beautiful 1
DJMar Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 Sweet build! It looks like it could have literally rolled off the Toyota assembly line. ? 1
Chuckyg1 Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 Oh that looks very nice. I agree with everyone else's comments. Wow. 1
STU111 Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 That really pops, the colour, the dark wash in the body panel lines. Awesome. ?? 1
Chinacar Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Lovely model. A very under appreciated classic. I think Tamiya also does a pace car version of this kit. 1
Brudda Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Very nice!!! I had a 1984 black with a maroon interior. Fantastic car. Driving thru Nevada at 95 mph and it got 27 mpg. Miss that car. 1

Many thanks. Yes, I built this from the "Marshal Car" version. The kit parts for this one and the regular version are mostly the same. The main difference is in the wheels. The regular car kit is designed to depict the "luxury option" (no fender flares, different wheels) whereas the Marshal Car kit is depicting the "performance option" with fender flares, roof spoiler and bigger wheels.
Safire6 Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Beautiful build of a great car. A friend had a 1:1 the same color with the same cool wheels. 1
baycolony Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Great job on a rarely seen subject as usual for you, Tom 1
