Jonathan Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Finally finished this (1999 boxing AMT/ERTL The Munsters Koach kit 30098). Was a gift from Christmas (2023) from my Brother-in-law. Built out of the box, with the exception of pinning the "brake light" with a straight pin, and pinning the brackets that hold Eddie's seat, as there is no usable mounting point whatsoever. I also filled the void on the back of Eddie's seat. Tamiya lacquers and acrylics used throughout. The gold trim is Bare Metal foil, and I lost the gold finish when I polished, so I overcoated the gloss black with the same Alclad Candy Golden Yellow that I used for the gold (brass?) trimmed parts. This is the AMT kit from and a few outdoor shots: Thanks for looking! 12
espo Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 A lot of intricate details to build a model of this TV car and bring it to this level.
lordairgtar Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 That looks awesome. I need to build mine.
Safire6 Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 I built this kit a few months ago. You did a much better job with it! I just didn’t have the patience with all the details. You did, and they really make a big difference. Nice job!
Phildaupho Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Cool to see. Great job. It was a mind blower when this car first appeared on the TV show.
spencer1984 Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 Beautiful job on this, it can be a tough build!
XYHARRY Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Nice job on the old Munster Koach, really well done Jonathan. Cheers, David. ??

Thank you - I was surprised at how well the moldings have held up; hardly any flash at all. On 11/1/2024 at 11:54 PM, slusher said: Looks great! Thank you! Yes - I was also surprised the see that the entire body structure is molded as one piece - curtains and all! Fun to mask! On 10/30/2024 at 8:03 PM, Rattlecan Dan said: Really cool build. It was a little before my time, but I did watch a couple of reruns after I received the kit (was a gift from my brother-in-law). What a gas!
