espo
Both builds look great, and I like the different approaches to colors and engine details. I also like the windshield treatment, what and how did you do those?

I also like the windshield treatment, what and how did you do those? Thanks! I saw a pic of a '32 that was red with a black radiator grill and thought I would make these reflect that. The colors are the same top color but the process is a bit different. I prime them in flat black, then depending on how red you want the finish, I spray them with a light coat of silver metallic. Not real heavy as the red top coat will not show as much. Then I spray several coats of Dupli-color Metalcast Red Anodized followed by a gloss finish. The red is a bit transparent so the lighter the previous coat of silver over the black is the darker the red comes out. The red doesn't show directly over the black and solid silver either. As far as the bent windscreens go I went thru my windscreen parts and found ones with the correct curvature then ground away everything I didn't want. Then I polished them (one had a small crack). jdcar32
The free form windshields remind me of Elvis's rod in ' Loving You' which was a bitchin hot rod. Nice touch !

XYHARRY
Very cool pair of hotrods, and a great example of what can be achieved by using different shades of primer. Well done David. Cheers, David M. 😎👍

I LOVE both colors on your '32s, but the darker color really floats my boat. I'm gonna give your method a try and also try gold and copper over the primer instead of silver. Thank you for the inspiration!...
