Corvette.Jeff Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 (edited) one of my friends gave me a 69' camaro body that had some body work done to it, i was going to use it foe my build that i have going right now, but its got alot of filler on it. any idea for removing it, besides sanding? its also got this nasty nasty yellow green paint on it, can i put her in the purple pond? would that get rid of the filler? thanks,Jeff Edited April 19, 2009 by ThatOneEmoKid
Guest Davkin Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Yes, Super Clean should take care of the filler as well as the paint. If it doesn't try brake fluid. David

Corvette.Jeff Posted April 23, 2009 Author Posted April 23, 2009 sweet, thanks for the reply's guy's.
FujimiLover Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 I didn't think you could remove bondo once it's hardened!
E St. Kruiser50 Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 I learned the hard way that brake fluid removes bondo. Me too - YES brake fluid works.
Fletch Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 I didn't think you could remove bondo once it's hardened! Even though it has hardened the CSC or Brake Fluid will either loosen the bond between the 2 surfaces or dissolve it and it will wash off with a firm toothbrush, soap and water. Even if it does nothing more then loosen the bond you can break the rest loose with an xacto knife.
mr moto Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) I'm sure it makes a difference if it's one-part Bondo (spot putty) or two-part Bondo. The spot putty is dissolved easily by all the usual model car paint removers. If you don't know what you've got just try Super Clean and see if it works. I don't know if the two-part is harder to remove. Edited May 6, 2009 by mr moto
