Jürgen M. Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 Hi everyone, since there are so many Freightliner cabovers in this Forum I thought I´d join in and show mine. Nothing special. I didn´t bother to improve any AMT errors or hide gaps. It was I think of the first truck builds, next to my Marmon Conventional, I did after about 25 years or so. The side steps aren´t put together very well and the weathering attempts weren´t very successful. Still I´m not ashamed of it but I have done better builds. Hope you enjoy the pics. Feedback is also welcome! You all know the box! Thanks for dropping in! 5
trick my mixer Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 It looks great. Always remember it is a Freightliner. l like the colors you chose. 2
Jürgen M. Posted November 9, 2024 Author Posted November 9, 2024 (edited) Thanks guys! I'm quite satisfied with the colors too. Thought a two tone with a separating stripe might lighten it up a bit! And yes, it is a Freightliner! Always liked 'em! Edited November 9, 2024 by Jürgen M. 2
James2 Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 I am currently working on the same kit, my first big truck. I like what you have done here thanks for sharing it. 2
Jürgen M. Posted November 9, 2024 Author Posted November 9, 2024 Thanks! Yes, I saw your thread. Good work! Thought I'd share mine since there are quite a few of these in different scales on several benches! I didn't bother to hide the gaps between the cab halves! You seem to be doing a really good job at closing all gaps and making a nice truck out of this kit! Keep going! 2
Rockford Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 Looks great mate, you could actually build your own nowadays and sort the issues with the cab seams and suchlike. You'd be Jürgen AMT+1! 2

You'd be Jürgen AMT+1! Thanks Steve! This one was Long before I started printing. I hadn't even thought of that back then. But you're right! I guess it could be done, even if the cab is not easy to design. 2
Biggu Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 Great Job JM!! I'm with Lucas, great color combination, one I never would have even thought of or would look ok together but this really pops ! And the exact right amount of each color. Nice build , I like this …. Going to keep this paint idea for a future build …. Jeff 1 1
