karbuildr Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 That is so cool. Great build, outstanding really.
papajohn97 Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Oooohhh! That’s sweet. The white, the gangster wide whites, the red steelies with stock caps & beauty rings, classy-curvy-sexy….I think I’m in love! So nice I wanna copy it! ps: fabulous paint work and all-around meticulous craftsmanship. A+!
Phildaupho Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Congratulations Steve on a gorgeous model of such an iconic car. It is on the cover of the book The Birth of Hot Rodding - The story of the Dry Lakes Era by Robert Gallant. In side is the same photo which you featured in your WIP but shows that it is towing the brothers '34 Coupe which maybe you should build next !!?? I actually saw the '36 many years ago before it was restored on one of my car trek trips to California visiting hot rod shops
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Much nicer job dealing with the roof seam than most people manage. I like heem.
espo Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Great looking paint and body work. Like the early style finishes and colors that you used.
Paul Payne Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Beautiful job on a gorgeous car- hard to believe it set records in the coupes class at the dry lakes!
Andy Oldenburg Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 One perfect build in a beautiful clean white! Love it! Nice details on your engine with copper lines.
