Some pretty impressive work for sure. How could you not stop and stare when that drives past?

He picked the right colour for it too. And I really like that he did not go for black wheels.

Yea, I don't get the whole black wheel thing either, Dan.

Ya spend money on nice wheels you'd think you'd like people to be able to see them.

, , , and to me, black wheels scream "snow tire wheels". ?

I agree with everyone above, but I have a question about his body tools. Did anyone else notice how he was using the hammer? Maybe he's just bragging about something else, but I have never seen anyone use a body hammer in this way, obscene.

Nicely done!  I'm usually not a fan of the origami look, but he makes it work.

Nice choice on the wheels too.  My thought on black wheels is that when they do work, it's with a bright rim, and maybe some brightwork in the centre.

I must say that, prima facie , I'm digging it. And that brings me to my next question (and perhaps I'm just that much of a neophyte here) : since E.V.'s aren't beholden to the (ridiculous, outdated) C.A.F.E. standards, then why not go wild with , I dunno, unique designs ???

Most E.V.'s are bland, ugly ( *cough* Cybertruck *cough* ) , and uninspired . Not to mention their asinine entitlements and , dare I say, peacock profanities, overstating for the uninitiated the just how "virtuous" its owner is.

I hafta say that what with lotsa EVs being scrapped for relatively minor damage, and the lack of knowledge about them in the majority of shops so far, I'm beginning to wonder about the prices of salvageable donor vehicles like this guy started with.

One-offs could be built significantly lighter than their OEM source vehicles, giving even higher acceleration and charge range.

In jurisdictions that are less mommy-state and restrictive relative to owner-built vehicles, there's a lot of fun out there to be had.

I know a guy (;)) who has an in-progress ultralight (600 lb. or less) single seat commuter vehicle that was originally intended to be IC powered (motorcycle donor), but adaptable to other power sources. It might be time to start looking at this again, as it was about 30% completed when it was shelved.

Hmmmmmmm...  B)

I want to see an electric Lotus 7.

Edit: You know, a super lightweight car. If it could have a powerful electric motor or two, and accelerate like a super bike, that would be a pretty wild ride. It wouldn’t be a grocery getter, just something for driving like it was stolen.
