TopherMcGinnis
I didn't see a post referencing model car shows. I've never attended one, but would really like to. I stopped by a cool hobby shop yesterday in Spartanburg, SC-Mason's Hot Rod & Hobby Shop. I picked up a kit and some supplies along with a flyer for a show in January. I'm not far from Charlotte, NC and am wondering how I can find if there are other shows within a few hours drive.
Bainford
There is the 'Shows and Contests' section of the forum, near the bottom of the main forum page. Also, the magazine regularly posts announcements of upcoming shows.
Shark
There is usually a swap meet in Salisbury every February, I think it's on the Saturday before the Daytona 500.
Fat Brian
I'm in the Charlotte area too. In addition to Spartanburg in January there is a show in Simpsonville in May I believe and a show in Clemmons NC later inthe summer. There is the February swap meet mentioned and there will be another one in April in Shelby.

TopherMcGinnis
I lived in Stanley for 17 years. I used to go to the little place that had the 1:25 scale drag strip. Speaking of, have you visited Fast Trax in Troutman?

TopherMcGinnis
If there aren't 1000 kits in there, I'd be surprised.
vintagerpm
IPMS/USA's web site has a list of IPMS model shows around the country. It is continually updated, so if you don't see anything listed for later in the year, check back in a few weeks or months. https://ipmsusa.org/all-events
Shark
They didn't have the show in Clemmons last year, a conflict or something with the venue. Hope they get it straightened out, there's a good BBQ restaurant there.
